酷熱夏天，冷氣真的可以說是必備「涼」伴，但您在室內享受舒爽的涼風，小心可能暗藏危機，標檢局抽驗市售冷氣，點名華菱冷氣和三葉冷氣，運轉時消耗功率超過標準，簡單來說，就是開冷氣電流會變高，會導致線路過熱，嚴重可能會瞬間起火，標檢局要求下架，業者強調都有做安全設備，不會起火，但也強調品管的確有疏失。
大熱天冷氣最忙，加速運轉送涼風，家家戶戶冷氣機排得密密麻麻，但有些卻暗藏危機，標檢局抽驗市售10款冷氣，發現華菱冷氣消耗功率標示寫3.1安培，檢驗實測卻是4.26安培，超標。三葉冷氣一樣不合格，踩到標準值紅線，簡單來說，就是開冷氣時電流會變高。標檢局科長楊紹經：「超過的範圍，會影響到我們負載的容量，那有可能讓線路配線的溫度會上升。」
除了可能會跳電，線路過熱嚴重會起火燃燒，短時間造成猛烈火勢，非常危險，標檢局要求業者限期改善，並下架不准賣。華菱冷氣課長蘇鴻賓：「不會造成說有那個起火危險，有裝那個安全保險絲。」
業者實際測試，強調安全沒問題，但品管有疏失才會超標，要求工廠再檢查，而三葉本身沒生產冷氣，暫時不跟出包廠商進貨，像中小型冷氣，價格約2萬4，比國產1線品牌便宜一半，多半賣給住家或店面使用，其實不管哪個品牌，每天開超過10小時，保養得特別勤。
冷氣保養工人鄭群睿：「(太髒)散熱時會有問題的話，它用電量就會吃得比較大。」
師傅用特殊溶劑，仔細沖冷氣內部，洗去髒污，像店家營業用冷氣，半年就要保養一次，家用也得一年一次，都不洗，除了髒，電流還會增加2/3，變成5安培，同時好幾台天天開，冒煙起火危險跟著來。
