鄰居一對膝下無子的夫婦，在不知情的情況下，領養了一個智障孩子。孩子原本的生父是醫師，知道生了一個有問題的小孩後，就誘騙鄰居這對夫婦領養。

醫師把「燙手山芋」丟出去後，旋即搬離，這對夫婦只好認命的撫養下來。

當初，為了開啟孩子的智慧，他們花了不少錢，把孩子送去教養院，也送去技藝班學本事。他們經常舟車勞頓，往返接送孩子，十分辛苦。大家都認為這對夫婦好傻，理由是：「要領養也要找一個正常的來養，何必去養一個連親生父母都不要的孩子？」

但是他們認為：「領養已成事實，孩子不是垃圾，是一個活生生的生命體，算是上天送給我們緣分，就把他當作自己的孩子來養吧！」

如今這個智障孩子已長大成人，仍不知撫養者並非自己親身的父母，整天「爸爸！媽媽！」掛在嘴邊，沒有血緣並不影響親情。雖然孩子的智商停留在四、五歲，但老夫婦身邊多個孩子作伴，家裡便不會那麼冷清，而且垃圾車來了，孩子也會主動提著垃圾去丟，只要不是高難度的家事，他都會幫忙，讓這對老夫婦有了滿滿的親情和愛。

樹多必有枯枝,醫師多也必有XX,
作者可能剛好提到一個薄情寡義的醫師,
不代表所有醫師都如此,
各位有情有意的醫師不要急著跳進去對號入座,
各位醫師週遭同學同事正人君子多,
但也不乏少數花心絕情冷血有錢玩女人沒錢養小孩,
醫術差還收紅包或與詐騙集團狼狽為奸詐領保險費的醫師,
甚至因採購弊案被收押的院長主任醫師,
還有和女病人有桃色緋聞的院長教授級醫師,
所幸這些都只是少數,
相信論壇上醫師都不是以上這些人,
都是正人君子
所以看此文請一笑置之,
就算真的是有一個狠心的醫師拋棄自己殘障的小孩,
那個醫師應該也絕對不是你們.
