惠妮休斯頓突然離開人世，目前警方尚未公布死因，但有消息指出她因服用藥物後，在浴缸裡沉睡溺水而死。她的女兒芭比克莉絲汀娜無法承受母親驟逝的打擊，精神崩潰而緊急送醫，至今尚未出院。據說惠妮生前跟小男友雷傑大吵一架，還有媒體瞎爆她有孕在身，匪夷所思。

服抗焦慮處方藥 嗜睡意外送命

惠妮的死因引來諸多揣測，八卦網站TMZ爆料她因為吃了抗焦慮的處方藥，在浴缸泡澡時產生嗜睡反應，就這樣沉入水裡，一睡不起。據說是惠妮的造型師察覺她待在房內很久沒出來，於是去她的房間探視，造型師找到惠妮時，她整個人沉在水裡，沒有意識，也無呼吸。當保鑣前來把惠妮從浴缸裡拉起時，一切都太遲了。還有一說是惠妮服用的處方藥與酒精產生致命反應，所以不是溺斃。

芭比一接獲母親驟逝的消息，立即趕至惠妮出事的比佛利希爾頓飯店，但警方阻止她進入惠妮的房間，因為當時房間被視為可能的犯罪現場。芭比對著警員又哭又喊：「她怎麼了？她到底怎麼了？」可能是因為情緒太激動，芭比在清醒的狀況下被抬進救護車，送醫休養。

媒體瞎爆懷孕 可能性極低

惠妮生前和31歲的小男友雷傑分分合合，外傳惠妮生前最後一次和雷傑相處時，兩人大吵了一架，當時惠妮與一位參加選秀比賽的女歌手史黛西法蘭西絲發生爭執，就快要有肢體衝突，後來雷傑出面勸架，此舉讓惠妮感到相當不爽，沒想到幾天後她就不在人世，令雷傑留下無限遺憾。

惠妮的前夫巴比布朗得知消息時，他人在密西西比州表演，他在台上有感而發，指著天花板說：「我愛妳，惠妮。」

至於惠妮懷孕的傳聞，外電報導陸續提出證據表示「可能性很低」。
