漠視隱私?　臉書成為政府執法利器

臉書似乎已經成為政府執法的利器。根據調查，越來越多美國政府的執法單位，在當事人毫不知情的情況下，取得他在臉書上的個人資料。

香港大公報引述路透社一項調查指出，從2008年開始，美國聯邦法官開出至少 24 張搜查令，允許包括包括FBI 、緝毒局、移民及海關執法局搜查特定對象的臉書，收集包括當事人放在臉書上的照片、以及一切動向。執法當局手上還有 Facebook 提供的技術手冊，教導他們如何挖掘出這些臉書用戶的個人資訊。

臉書發言人拒絕回應這項消息的真實性，並且表示臉書非常注重用戶隱私。

根據美國憲法第四條修正案，美國公民如果發現自己的個資遭到非法搜索，可依法提告。但因為當事人根本不知道自己的臉書被政府盯上，政府依法也不必通知這些人，只需在檢控時再向當事人透露證據取得方法。所以這些臉書用戶根本不可能在事前主動提出告訴。

推特（Twitter）和一些社交網站都已經採取更嚴密的隱私保護政策，一旦有執法機關搜查用戶帳號，就會主動知會用戶。臉書發言人不願透露他們是否也會跟進。
