無形「三手菸」幼童胎兒受害

【本報訊】衛生署推廣拒吸二手菸多年，二手菸有害健康已經是國民基本常識，但是大部分的人以為只要開窗戶或等香菸煙霧散開就不會有害，美國麻州波士頓兒童醫院醫師發表在「小兒醫學」期刊的研究發現，殘留在吸煙者頭髮、衣物、窗帘甚至地毯上的有毒氣體微粒，就算煙霧飄散後仍有毒性，這種菸害在國外被稱作「三手菸」，不只會對大人，也會對嬰幼兒產生危害，甚至連胎兒都會受害。

研究結果顯示，吸菸時裡面的尼古丁及焦油、微粒及污染物會四處飄散到環境中，其中會造成「三手菸」毒物包含毒氣氰化氫、打火機中的丁烷、油漆中的甲苯、時常造成中毒一氧化碳及重金屬鉛、砷、及鎘，其中鎘因為容易黏在家具上，且半衰期要三十年，在體內長期累積，恐會引發骨頭及腎臟病變，除此之外，「三手菸」內還具高度放射性的物質釙210，恐有致癌風險。研究指出，一般人都以為，只要不在孩子面前抽菸，例如在戶外抽菸，或是躲在廚房抽菸，把窗戶打開再抽菸，就不會讓孩子受到菸害，事實上，傳統的衣物上就很容易附著菸害的物質，只要父母一抱小孩就很容易讓孩子把有害物質吃下肚，如果孕婦接觸到，胎兒未來早產、體重過輕、罹患支氣管炎及死胎的機率也會較高，享受抽菸快感的後果就是讓家人受害。正常狀況下，香菸燃燒會產生四千多種化學物質，其中有兩百五十多種會危害身體，六十多種會致癌，傷害自己也傷害家人，雖然目前市面上已經有「除煙噴霧」、「除煙墊片」等商品上市，也有知名機能性纖維品牌發明「除菸味纖維」製成Polo衫及其他衣物，利用專利技術分解有害物質，可以解決降低菸害，但戒菸還是維護自身與家人身體健康最佳的選擇。
