每天醒來，想著「我要過好今天」，可以在禱告中向上蒼表示， 可以透過自我期許，務必珍惜今天。告訴自己，這是一個難得的日子 ，要好好表現生命，過得充實快樂。我經常這麼想，所以樂觀。經常如此祝禱，所以有勇氣去面對新的嘗試，而滿足之情則帶來無盡的感恩。

我的樂觀是從虔誠的信念中得來的。不過，我還有幾個信條，是每天要去實踐的，那就是：

●記得稱讚一起工作的人。
●指正別人時，要先維護他的自尊。
●用心在所做的事上，盡力把它做到最好。
●想一想今天的表現是否與薪水相當。
●歡喜領受這一天，由衷感恩和知足。
●依自己的因緣安排生活，但不與別人比較。

一位年輕人來晤談，他工作不如意，感情陷入膠著，跟同事相處亦不得人和。
我聆聽他的遭遇，順手拿起紙來記下：
◎有固定的工作已難能可貴；
◎跟父母一起住，有安居的地方；
◎同事七嘴八舌，那一定很有趣；
◎女朋友變心，就更有機會結識知心的人。

他說完了話，我把字條遞給他，他看後竟然笑了起來，說：「你認為我無病呻吟嗎？」

「不是，而是你忘了欣賞自己擁有的一天。你必須用自己的因緣過日子，在遭遇的情境中設法過得好，那才是生活。如果你等著一切都周全才會歡喜，那就很難得過好日子。」


「人不是在追求更多，充實生活資糧，力爭上游嗎？」
「人是在生活，而不是為了爭奪和占有；是自己怎麼生活，而不是你表現什麼給別人看。好好生活才是力爭上游，想博得別人的掌聲，只是生活的小丑，不是生活的贏家。」

「感情觸礁，她把我甩了，我怎麼高興得起來？」

「不是要你高興那令人不高興的事，但要你面對它，盡力讓自己過得好，稱讚自己撐得過這次挫折。」

他離開晤談室時，神情鎮定了許多，情緒也舒緩下來。他帶著生澀的微笑說：「我今天才知道怎麼過好一天，原來生活就在遭遇之中，問題是我怎麼去看待它。
