一名留美碩士凌晨時分忽然發現床上出現「白衣鬼」，嚇得動彈不得，而「白衣鬼」竟趁機性侵她，直到「白衣鬼」安慰她「不要害怕」，她才知道對方是人不是鬼。

這件「人鬼不分」的性侵害案發生在去年底，現年39歲的劉姓男子，見隔壁女鄰居貌美，早就有非分之想，11月五日凌晨四時許，劉姓男子在酒精加持下，穿著白內衣花短褲，只將內衣往上拉套住頭部，讓人認不出來，就爬窗進入女鄰居房內。 當時被害人剛剛看完電視，關燈躺在床上就寢，忽然看見一個「白衣鬼」爬進自己房內，嚇得全身發軟，連叫都叫不出來，這名好色的「白衣鬼」在毫無抵抗之下，脫去女鄰居的內褲予以性侵，做到一半時，「白衣鬼開口說：「妳不要害怕，我不會傷害妳。」被害人這才發現性侵自己的不是鬼，但仍怕得不敢反抗，等性侵結束，她也只是拜託「白衣鬼」快點離開。

而劉姓男子一走，被害人立即打電話告知住在附近的姊姊，而姊姊火速趕到時，恰巧撞見已將內衣放下露出頭臉的劉姓男子，於是立即報警。而劉姓男子也自知闖禍，事後跑到三峽山區躲了五天，還長達半年不敢回家，最後仍被警方逮捕，板橋地檢署將他依妨害性自主罪嫌起訴。
