老外交通罰單呆帳高築

外籍人士在台灣交通違規，往往只要滿口英文，又留下假身分、假地址，常常會讓開單的員警難以查證，事後更是催繳無門。根據統計，像是這樣的賴帳手法，光在台北市，就已經累計了高達1400萬元的罰單呆帳。


台北市議員侯冠群表示，「罰單金額908塊(美金)，因為本人超速，超速到120多英里就是200多公里(記者：你是回台灣後，罰單還寄給你嗎？)，對，我大概回來之後兩個禮拜我就收到了。」


侯冠群舉自己為例，人在美國，違規罰單還會追到台灣來，但換成老外在台灣違規，光是台北市罰單呆帳就已經超過1400萬。侯冠群說，「他碰到我們的員警，他違規了，他就講英文，然後拿了外國駕照，我們員警拿他一點辦法都沒有，為什麼？因為我現在開了你罰單，我也不知道你的住址，就算我開了你罰單，可能也收不到啊！」


監理處催收課長張積雄表示，「他不繳的話，我們會按照規定移送強制執行，案子會由行政執行處來處理。」


監理處說會催收，但遇到違規老外不繳就是不繳，相關單位也束手無策，而員警心知肚明這罰單開了也是白開，有人乾脆不開了，惡性循環下，老外違規的問題恐怕越來越大。（新聞來源：東森新聞記者朱凱翔、柯俊丞）
