這輛偶讀國小還是國中時(?),樓上鄰居有同款的,回推有幾十年歷史,印象中500CC?
因為後來不發牌照,當時很少數的合法重機 (眼汪汪)

我小學六年級時，家父換成轎車而將他的 1961 or 1962 年的 R50 賣掉，等到我唸醫學院時發覺政府開始禁止機車進口，又此型機車是一種經典，央求家母讓我收藏一部，故而有此部摩托車。R50 確實是 500CC沒有錯，當時還有汽缸排氣量稍大的 R60。台北劉福摩托車行還有一部此型機車最後一年1969年生產的未曾騎乘過的新古車吊掛在牆上展示呢！

民國56年
　
． 政府宣布禁止以旅客行李名義攜帶機車進口。．政府因考慮外匯消耗激增，民國51年將機車納入自製率計劃，指定自製產品項目，該年三陽工業正式設立產製機車，惟生產初期，因外貨性能優越，政府雖加以管制，事實仍未能完全防止外貨進口，每年以種種名義進口之機車總共約一萬輛以上，其中最普遍的方式是以往來旅客行李名義攜帶進口，以民國55年為例，國內產量已達74,919輛，但該年進口機車總數為14,902輛達內銷數量之30%。

政府為杜絕此一漏洞，乃於民國56年9月宣布禁止以此種名義進口機車，因此，民國56年進口量銳減至4,202輛，民國56年以後僅有少數廠商進口樣品，或政府機關大型公務用車，數量有限，市面所標榜外國原裝車，多係貿易商以保修零件名義進口，再裝配出售。民國58年各型機車進口量降為101輛，至民國60年則只有36輛而己．可知屆時我國機車工業已達自行生產之階段。
