是因為被以訛傳訛才有人以為說吃維骨力可防治骨質疏鬆症..

很多病人問說, 他有骨質疏鬆症, 要不要吃維骨力?
或者問說他膝蓋痛是不是骨質疏鬆症...
或者是把膝蓋痛當成骨質疏鬆症, 然後又以為骨質疏鬆症要吃維骨力, 誤打誤撞...
因為維骨力的 indication 是 Knee OA. 但是不是有效又是另一個問題了...

美國骨科醫學會的臨床指引的說法是 : "無法推薦使用"...

"We cannot recommend using glucosamine
and chondroitin for patients with symptomatic
osteoarthritis of the knee."

不過 EULAR (The European League Against Rheumatism) 卻認為有效喔.

有關 Glucosamine sulphate 及 Chondroitin sulphate 對於 knee OA 的療效, EULAR Recommendations 2003 的臨床建議是列為最高級 1A level of evidence, 及 A 級(Strong) 的 Strength of recommendation!!

文章說 :

SYSADOA (glucosamine sulphate, chondroitin sulphate, ASU, diacerein, and hyaluronic acid) have symptomatic effects and may modify structure

SYSADOA = symptomatic slow acting drugs for OA

不但有效還可以modify structure? 真是眾說紛紜...

不過健保局要是打下來可以用這篇去申覆吧...

但廠商也沒說可以治療骨質疏鬆啊, 它只說吃了關節有力可以蹲下去站起來.
維骨力也可以說它名字裡的骨是指軟骨...
不過我好像聽過某廣告說過, 可以幫助鈣質吸收, 這就有點問題了...

歐洲人很愛用glucobay, 這個藥是德國拜耳的,
卻輕易的禁用pioglitazone

歐洲人認為glucosamine有效, 可能像相同的道理, 這個藥是義大利的

藥廠有利可圖就說成仙丹, 過保固就變爛藥, 習慣就好
