加國「跑鞋斷腿」疑雲 DNA比對找出一原主

加拿大英屬哥倫比亞省海岸過去一年來陸續發現五支人體斷腿，警方經過不斷地比對，終於發現其中一支斷腿與該省一名失蹤男子的DNA吻合。


這些斷腿似乎都是由人體自然腐爛後脫落，但死者的身分、死因及死亡地點都還不明，加上這些斷腿上都套有球鞋，又陸續在過去十一個月內集中浮現在加國西海岸一帶，讓事件更添神秘的色彩，引起國際矚目。


加國「CTV電視台」今天報導，警方透過家族做DNA比對，已經發現其中一支斷腿來自一名有情緒問題的失蹤男子，並已通知死者家屬。皇家騎警發言人萊梅崔雖向該台證實此事，但仍拒絕透露死者的身分。


第一支斷腿是去年八月十二日，在喬治亞海峽的傑岱迪亞島上發現；六天之後，在同一海域的嘉布里拉島上又發現第二支斷腿；第三支斷腿則是今年二月八日在瓦德茲島上被發現。這三支斷腿都是男子的右腿，它們分別穿著Campus、Reebok和Nike不同品牌的跑鞋。


五月二十二日，又有人在溫哥華菲沙河口柯克島發現套在一個New Balance 牌子跑鞋中的第四支斷腿，這也是迄今唯一一條屬於女子的斷腿；六月十六日，在僅一公里外的河濱，又有人發現一支斷腿，經過比對，確認與二月間在瓦德茲島上找到的第三支斷腿來自同一人。


六月十九日，在溫哥華西北方兩百二十公里處坎貝爾河鎮海灘，雖然有人再度發現一支「斷腿」，但經過法醫鑑識，確認不是人體殘肢，而是有人惡作劇，故意把動物腳爪塞進跑鞋中。


對於這些斷腿的來源，原先有人揣測可能是二零零五年英屬哥倫比亞省一場空難中的死者，其中四名罹難者的屍體始終未能尋獲。不過，DNA 比對結果已排除其中兩人的可能性；至於另兩名死者的DNA 目前仍在比對中。


CTV 電視台也報導，在英屬哥倫比亞省南鄰的美國華盛頓州，警方去年三月間曾在靠近該省海域的一個海島上，發現一具無腳男屍，而且右臂和左手也不知去向。這具屍體的口中有若干金色鑲牙，屍身已嚴重腐解，警方指死者可能是白人、亞裔或原住民，年約三十來歲。


雖然斷腿事件引來各方矚目，美方先前卻始終未與加方聯繫過此事。經CTV 查詢後，華州法醫處才表示，願與加方合作，調查該具男屍與斷腿事件有無關連。970718
