葡萄柚 未來減重新寵兒

葡萄柚吃起來苦苦的，但造成苦味的化學成分正可以幫助減重。加拿大西安大略大學研究指出，葡萄柚含有柚皮素(Naringenin)，這種成分雖然會讓葡萄柚產生苦澀味道，但若在餐後吃下葡萄柚，可以幫助肝臟燃燒脂肪，避免脂肪囤積在肝臟等處，未來或許可以成為減重新寵兒。

這表示以後要減重的話，說不定不用再刻意改變飲食，或戒除特定食品，只要一定劑量的柚皮素，也許就能幫助肥胖者控制體重，或者幫助糖尿病患者維持胰島素平衡，也可以幫助穩定體內葡萄糖濃度。

在許多柑橘類水果中都可以發現柚皮素，特別是葡萄柚，含量最多，因此引起苦澀口感。過去，已經有許多研究人員發現葡萄柚可以幫助控制體重。研究人員也發現，對於第二型糖尿病患者來說，葡萄柚也有助預防心血管疾病。

這項研究發表於最新一期的「糖尿病」(Dia-betes)期刊。加拿大西安大略大學將老鼠分成兩組，並設法讓老鼠產生代謝症候群，代謝症候群可能導致第二型糖尿病，研究人員讓一組老鼠食用柚皮素，另一組則沒有，結果發現，沒有食用柚皮素的老鼠發胖了，並真的出現代謝症候群，胰島素分泌也變得異常。而食用柚皮素的老鼠則沒有產生上述問題，體重也維持不變。
