長期茹素要當心？ 40歲大廚不舉

英國最新一份研究顯示，素食者較不易罹患癌症；而一名40多歲的廚師則因長年吃素，半年前因為「不舉」求助泌尿科醫師，檢查發現男性荷爾蒙遠遠低於正常患者。


高雄醫學大學附設醫院泌尿科醫師王起杰表示，這名大廚前來求診，抱怨自己原來一晚可以「炒飯」2至3次的功力，近年來卻雄風不再，次數減低到每週不到1次，經過檢查發現，大廚男性荷爾蒙只有85，比正常的300至1200，遠遠低了不少，在排除男子不菸、不酒、不熬夜，剩下最有可能的危險因素即為吃素。最後在醫師建議下，男子改吃葷食，接受治療一段時間後，半年之後不舉問題也獲得改善。


醫師指出，男人年過40後，體內的男性荷爾蒙會逐漸降低，身體會出現肌肉鬆弛及乳房肥大徵狀，性慾與性功能也可能大不如前，甚至有些男人會因此罹患憂鬱症。男性荷爾蒙不足與年齡及飲食皆有關，建議應適時補充蚵、蛤、蝦、蟳及韭菜等食物，補充荷爾蒙的不足。


不過，也有醫師認為若因膽固醇過高、高血脂等，吃素而改變健康，也可能導致性功能障礙回復正常；還有醫師認為，茹素與「不舉」並無絕對關連，若茹素者多攝取植物性蛋白如黃豆、黑豆等，也能減少不舉的風險。
