景氣差　美國精子銀行也推刺激消費方案

　美國歷史最悠久的精子銀行之一「Xytex國際公司」 (Xytex International）今天推出一項「經濟振興方案」，給受到不景氣衝擊的客戶。

　對於想要組織新家庭或加添成員但還需要一點幫忙的人，Xytex提供每管精子最多減價200美元的優惠。

　Xytex公司發言人莫爾斯 (Danielle Moores）告訴法新社：「我們都受到經濟的影響，尤其是對想生小孩的人，每一塊錢都很重要。」

　所以，Xytex針對「特別」捐贈者所提供的精子提供優惠。特別捐贈者提供的精子，比標準捐贈者提供的便宜。

　莫爾斯對法新社說：「我們推出新的『特別』捐贈者方案，想要幫助我們的客戶。這些人有興趣從第三者取得生育的協助，但因為當前經濟困境，要買標準捐贈者提供的精子有些困難。」

　莫爾斯說明所謂的「特別」精子捐贈者是從該公司捐贈者中，有能力提供「許多，許多管精子」的成功型捐贈者，或者是一個星期能夠來公司多次捐精的人，或者因為某些原因，我們有很大的庫存」，所以也算是「出清存貨大拍賣」。

　但Xytex比較希望稱之為「供給面和需求面的平衡效應」。

　她說：「特別精子尚未到達保存期限，只是生產過量。」

　 　每個特別精子方案介於250到350美元之間，和標準精子方案相較，每管便宜了135到235美元。標準精子每管要價385到585美元。

　Xytex還提供所謂的ART方案，提供的可不是畢卡索或賈士伯？瓊斯 (Jasper Johns）等藝術家的精子，這裡的ART代表「輔助生殖科技」 (assistedreproductive technology），每管要價290美元到390美元。

　莫爾斯說：「這是為正在進行試管受精 (IVF）或者是單一精子卵質內顯微注射 (ICSI）的患者提供的省錢之道。不管是IVF或ICSI都會花很多錢。」

　她說：「以ICSI來講，你真正需要注射進卵子的只是一個精子。我們可以提供比較便宜的方案，因為管子裡的精子比較少。反正消費者只需要少量精子細胞。」（譯者：賴秀如）
