加州的一個小鎮發生了一宗銀行搶案, 搶匪才剛剛把錢藏好,
就被警長逮捕了. 由於搶匪是從太平洋的那一邊偷渡過來的,
又不會講英文,警長只好去請小吳來當翻譯.

經過一陣疲勞轟炸式的拷問, 搶匪仍堅持不肯說出錢藏在那裡.
沒辦法, 警長只好扮起黑臉, 咆哮地叫小吳告訴搶匪：「再不說, 就把他斃了!」
小吳忠實地把警長的意思表達了. 大概翻譯得太好了, 搶匪嚇得語無倫次：
「錢在鎮中央的井裡, 求你請警長饒我一命。」
小吳轉過頭來,神情凝重地告訴警長：「搶匪有種, 寧死不招. 他叫你斃了他!」

已是凌晨, 天上無月, 周遭一片漆黑. 老王開著計程車準備回家,
途中看見一個女人揮手要搭車. 老王看她孤單一人, 讓她上了車.
一路上兩人誰也沒有說話.
快到目地時, 那女人開口說話了：「吃個蘋果吧!」
老王接過蘋果說：「謝謝!」
過會兒女人又說話了：「好吃嗎?」
老王答道：「好吃!」
女人說：「我生前最喜歡吃這種蘋果了.」
老王一聽, 頓時四肢發麻, 毛孔直豎, 正想棄車而逃.
那女人接著又說：「不過, 我生完小孩後就不喜歡吃了.」
