Airwaves找來教授與醫生背書 嚼口香糖 標榜提升注意力

Airwaves口香糖昨天召開記者會，表示口香糖除了訴求清潔口腔外，咀嚼的動作可以提升注意力，並邀請教授、醫生站台背書。


　東吳大學朱錦鳳副教授朱錦鳳表示，台灣青少年專注力、自信力比亞洲國家落後，但後天培養與訓練可以增強注意力；三軍總醫院葉啟斌醫師葉啟斌則表示，國外研究報告認為咀嚼行為，可以提高大腦輸送氧氣的血蛋白。


　口香糖業者還提供北京大學的報告，證實以核磁共振觀察咀嚼口香糖時腦波變化，確實發現可增強部分腦部活動，有助提高包括注意力在內的認知行為。


　記者現場追問照此理論推斷，是否嚼食口香糖也有助治療老人痴呆等病症的改善？葉啟斌未正面回覆，生產該品牌的留蘭香公司處長陳長星則表示是努力目標。

　嚼口香糖可以提升注意力？中華民國齒顎矯正學會秘書長蔡爾輝醫師直呼：「這些都是商業宣傳的噱頭，根本沒有任何學理依據。」


　蔡醫師提醒，口香糖不能整天一直咬，一般牙齒結構正常的人，嚼嚼口香糖，牙齒不會太吃力，但若是齒顎不正、咬合有問題的人，過度咀嚼反而會讓顳顎關節受傷，國外還曾經發生有人因整天嚼口香糖，導致顳顎關節發炎疼痛，甚至張不開嘴巴等後遺症。
