永不下班 奉獻雲林52年

半生奉獻給雲林縣的松喬神父走完人生旅程，留給虎尾鎮若瑟醫院醫護人員難過與不捨。松喬神父遠渡重洋，來到台灣雲林，一待就是五十二年，不求回報的付出，曾榮獲第三屆醫療奉獻獎。

松喬原籍比利時，父親擔任比利時的小鎮鎮長達廿年，松喬於十八歲開始修習神學，取得魯汶大學神學學位，卅歲派至中國江蘇省傳教，擔任主教朱開明的秘書，長駐在寧波縣外海的小島「海門」。

大陸淪陷後，無神論的共產黨排斥外來宗教，教堂一一關門，松喬神父走投無路，最後由開醫院的教友收容，擔任Ｘ光技師，學習新的醫學技術。後來還是被共產黨查出身分，民國四十二年被驅逐出境，黯然回到比利時。沒想到Ｘ光技術竟決定松喬神父下半輩子的歸宿。民國四十四年若瑟醫院草創，就由松喬擔任負責人，一眨眼就是半個世紀，從草創初期慘澹經營，到醫院規模逐漸壯大，松喬一直是引領若瑟醫院前進的靈魂人物，也是雲林縣最早設置Ｘ光檢驗的醫院。

在同事的眼中，松喬是永不下班的院長，永遠待在狹小的院長室，令新進人員感到奇怪，後來才知道那是院長唯一的家；五十二年來他都以醫院為家，身旁沒有任何值錢財物，也不支領薪水，員工後來購買電視等生活用品，作為院長的生日禮物。

松喬不但帶領醫護人員救人，也長期擔任虎尾消防隊的義消，幫忙滅火救人，直到年紀太大，才退出義消行列，無怨無悔為雲林付出半生歲月，令醫護人員及病患感念。
