台北林小姐表示，她已懷孕23周，因為是第一胎，讓她既興奮又緊張，產前各項檢查也都按照醫師指示定期回診，一點不敢馬虎，唯一令她困擾的是，丈夫是家中獨子，公婆對傳宗接代的傳統觀念頗深，讓她備感壓力。林小姐說，日前她特地前往台北一家教學醫院做超音波檢查，希望得知胎兒性別及發育狀況，但醫師僅表示胎兒健康狀況良好，卻不肯明確告知胎兒性別，還說須等胎兒移動位置才能檢查性別，質疑醫師故意找麻煩。報導╱藍竟圖

【專家意見】
台北臺安醫院婦產科主治醫師徐弘治表示，胎兒性別在受孕時已決定，且政府提倡男女平等，生男、生女一樣好，醫師不會特意替人檢查及告知胎兒性別，而且超音波檢查確實可能受限胎兒姿勢、手掌握拳等情況，無法清楚察看性別，絕非醫師找麻煩。


【產檢注意事項】
★家中若有遺傳疾病，最好先進行優生健檢，預防胎兒先天缺陷。
★善用全民健保提供10次免費產檢。
★懷孕3周可到婦產科門診確認懷孕情況，醫師不會特意告知胎兒性別。
★逾34歲孕婦可考慮羊膜穿刺術，診斷胎兒健康。

衛生署國民健康局再次說明：未禁止懷孕晚期超音波告知胎兒性別

國健局之前曾經有過不良事蹟：對接生胎兒性別比率異常的婦產科診所、醫院進行約談或調查。
對於這種不講理、不知「依法行政」為何物的單位，它的說法就不必太過理會。
它今天說「未禁止」，不表示它同意了，更不表示「鼓勵」告知胎兒性別。改天它有了不同想法，也可以說它「不鼓勵」、「並未同意」。

反正醫師自己要了解法律，依法行事。法律又沒規定「產檢時一定要告知性別」。
告知性別是醫師的額外服務，醫師自己評估要不要告知。
告知性別又沒有多收錢，萬一生出來性別跟醫師說的不一樣，會不會又被告了？多一事不如少一事吧。
不想告知，就把理由推給國健局，給它背黑鍋算是剛好而已啦。
