隨著統一超商發表聲明，因物流配送不及，才造成《商業周刊》來不及上架，今(17)日下午將陸續配送到各門市的發展來看，《商周》遭7-11通路下架事件似乎暫告一段落，但事實並非如此。據悉，《商周》已因報導「統一商再添高家人 高清愿孫女進駐」、1篇422字的稿子，而遭統一企業撤銷乳品和茶裏王1年份的廣告。另為外界所不知的是，原本《天下》也因為這期雜誌中的一篇「7-11老總換人 三波人事大震盪」報導，引發統一不滿警告，所幸經過事先溝通，才免於被下架的命運。
《商周》總編輯郭奕伶今(17)日2波發文說明第1313期雜誌被7-11通路下架，以及後續感謝外界聲援讓《商周》能重新上架的公開信，但據悉，《商周》已經不是第1次惹惱統一了，上次是第1284期的封面故事「7-11徐重仁退休 羅智先全面接班」，而這次惹事的則是只有422個字的報導，只因為又扯到統一企業的人事，尤其是之前所提的羅智先是高清愿的女婿，這次則扯到高清愿的孫女高茲伊。
據瞭解，《商周》惹禍的這篇報導讓統一企業不高興的字眼包括「目前單身的高茲伊，是高清愿獨生女高秀玲與前夫所生，從母姓的女兒」、「去年以空降之姿進入統一超」以及「高家第三代進駐統一超，發揮具體影響力的意味十分濃厚」等。
無獨有偶地，週三(16日)才出刊的第514期《天下》也因為類似的統一人事報導，差點無法通過在雜誌業界號稱的7-11「通路審查」，然而，在接獲統一超商的不爽警告後，雙方溝通得當，才免於差點被下架的命運。
事實上，早在1999年2月21日，統一超商就曾抵制現已停刊的《中時晚報》，當天全國近2千家統一超商看不到《中晚》，只因爲當天《中晚》的頭版新聞報導了統一超商在春節期間所發生的「千面人恐嚇」事件，惹火統一，立即進行零售報抵制。
而2002年10月9日，《聯合晚報》報導國民黨中常委高清愿在中常會提出「添丁發財」的發言，並在圖說中，加了一句記者引申的「是否暗批陳總統，引人注目。」當年10月11日起，《聯晚》被放到7-11的最下層報架，接著被限定每家7-11只能賣5份《聯晚》，後來，更遭7-11全面下架。最後由當時聯晚社長黃年親自率領晚報總編輯與總經理，親自拜會統一超商總經理，才協議刊登更正啟事，恢復上架。
這次由《商周》引起的小7下架事件，誠如前銘傳傳播學院院長楊志弘在臉書上所評論的，「企業運用經濟力壟斷、控制媒體，要比政治控制媒體更可怕，因它的控制較間接、較不為人察覺，但傷害卻是致命的。」
