許多兒童在進行蛀牙的根管治療後，需套上「乳牙不鏽鋼冠」來保護乳牙，北市衛生局更明訂每顆收費標準為1千元，但民眾投訴台大、台北醫學大學附設醫院等醫院，卻每顆收費3千元；衛生局解釋若醫院事先向該局核備，即可提高收費。民間醫改團體批衛生局應對未遵守標準的醫院開罰，否則官方威信盡失。

有讀者向《蘋果》投訴，指北市衛生局在網站（http://www.health.gov.tw/Default.aspx?tabid=570）公布「台北市牙醫師收費標準表」，明訂乳牙不鏽鋼冠每顆1千元，但他查閱台大、北醫附設醫院收費標準卻收費3千元，「為何有兩套標準？」
衛生署官員指，牙醫師收費標準由各地衛生局公告。中市衛生局所訂標準是1000元到3500元；高市衛生局則未詳訂收費標準。

多家全高於標準
北市衛生局醫護管理處副處長杜仲傑指，若有醫療院所違反該局收費標準，可依《醫療法》處5萬至25萬元罰款。
但北市衛生局企劃處長陳青梅說，因醫療器材日新月異，醫院可向該局提出提高收費的核備，有先行核備就不會被罰。
《蘋果》查訪多家北市醫院，台大、北醫、台北長庚每顆收費3千元，台北馬偕醫院收費2500元，三總則定1200、1600、2000元3種收費，全高於北市衛生局所訂標準。
台大、北醫、台北馬偕、三總昨皆回應該項收費有經核定。台北長庚指是否經核定還需了解。
