行政院主計處5日發布4月份消費者物價總指數為106.54，較去年4月上漲1.34%，雖然還在穩定範圍內，但與民眾生活息息相關的甲類物價漲幅已有2.49%，且4月底概估最新經濟預測時也將物價上漲年增率上修至2.18%，預估下半年物價的漲幅可能相當大。

4月份消費者物價較去年4月上漲1.34%，累計1至4月較去年同期上漲1.29%，漲幅還算穩定，但卻遠低於主計處對全年物價的預測值。主計處2月時發布對全年物價預測值為2%，4月底發布概估數字時已上修至2.18%，5月19日還將做出最新修正。

主計處第三局科長吳昭明表示，4月底概估時已將物價上修至2.18%，主要是因為原本對石油輸出國家組織（OPEC）全年平均油價設定的目標值為每桶94美元，但4月份設定的目標值已一口氣修正到每桶108美元，因此，不管是2%還是2.18%，漲幅都相當大，因此下半年物價上漲的程度會愈來愈明顯。

吳昭明指出，雖然4月消費者物價僅上漲1.34%，但與民眾生活息息相關的非耐久材漲幅已達2.82%，甲類生活物價也上漲2.49%，漲幅都已經很大。所謂的甲類生活物價是指與民眾生活息息相關的食物類、水電燃氣以及油料價格。

另外，主計處也特別將米、麵粉、蛋、沙拉油、鮮乳、奶粉、泡麵、衛生紙等16項行政院穩定物價小組監控的重要民生物資價格變動情形作一統計，結果發現，這些重要民生物資4月的漲幅達3.6%，算是相當高，其中，沙拉油的漲幅達11.8%，泡麵上漲10.2%，漲幅都超過1成。
