衛生署：魚油溶解保麗龍是正常

衛生署公布，民眾自行送驗市售魚油產品檢出極微量之甲苯，及苯，懷疑魚油含有機溶劑，並引起保麗龍溶解的原因，依據有關科學原理，排除該種可能性，消費者無須過度恐慌。

衛生署表示，參考世界衛生組織之評估報告，該檢出值不排除為魚油原料本身之背景天然含量。依一般建議攝取量情形，不致於對人體健康造成危害。民眾自行送驗之魚油產品，檢出甲苯量為40 ppb（十億分之四十）、苯含量為70 ppb（十億分之七十），其量極其微少，絕非造成溶解保麗龍之原因。

衛生署食品藥物管理局重申，市售某些魚油膠囊產品，如果將魚油滴在保麗龍上，發現有使保麗龍溶解現象，係因魚油中所含EPA （二十碳五烯酸）、DHA（二十二碳六烯酸）之「乙基酯」含量較高，該等成分結構極性與保麗龍類似，因此會與保麗龍產生互溶情形，此為正常現象。
