【動新聞╱綜合報導】美國拉斯維加斯5歲女童綺拉德瑞斯科（Keira Driscoll）雖曾接受A型流感疫苗注射，上周二仍因A型流感不治身亡。美國疾病防治中心（CDC）已表示，本季注射A型流感疫苗的民眾，仍有77%可能染上A型流感，疫苗有效率是歷年最差。

《每日郵報》報導，綺拉是拉斯維加斯所屬的內華達州克拉克郡今冬第4例、也是全美今冬第56例死於流感的孩童。她上周日出現咳嗽、發燒等流感症狀，翌日父母帶她就醫，醫生開立類固醇、噴劑等藥物後讓她返家休息，但數小時後她就在家昏倒。母親為她進行CPR急救，但救護車抵達後她仍須接上人工維生器。

送醫後醫生診斷她罹患A型流感，周二她心跳停止，家屬忍痛決定關閉維生器，結束綺拉短暫的一生。綺拉就讀的幼兒園，園長貝克斯德也是綺拉的阿姨。她說，直到上周日發病前，綺拉都是個快樂健康的孩子，「她很好學，對任何事都充滿好奇，而是總是第一個上前給人擁抱的小孩，她誰都喜歡。」

今冬之初，全美流感疫苗注射率已達40.3%，高於去年的39.5%，但疫苗有效率僅23%，是歷來最低紀錄之一。CDC指出，自去年10月以來，全美已有逾8000人因流感住院。
